The oak group had some questions when they saw a mail car, a mail carrier and a mail box in our community. So we decided to open a post office to explore how the post system works.
The oak group had some questions when they saw a mail car, a mail carrier and a mail box in our community. So we decided to open a post office to explore how the post system works.
The children drew pictures on post cards, put addresses and stamps on these, and put them in a mailbox.
Then each child got a mail carrier hat and turned into a mail carrier.
They opened the mailbox with excitement. They sorted them by addresses and delivered them.
Everybody who got a letter looked very happy and wanted to send a letter back.
We placed the post in the main room, so we will can involve all children in CM and keep working on this activity. Also, the children are going to have a real experience sending letters soon.
